When at an estate sale we found a set of beautiful solid walnut twin beds. With apologies about them not having the side boards, we assured them we could use them and got a great deal on them. They were so beautiful we could see the natural outcomes of building them into nice small benches.

Many people only want painted furniture these days. The natural wood in these beds was just too beautiful to put paint on them, so we chose to build the benches into natural finishes. When we finished them, we placed them for sale on our local “Swap Shop” page.

In two days, we had a buyer. It turned out that the buyer was the family who was featured on the “Barnwood Builders” TV show for their creation of a wedding venue near where we live. We had been referred to them before by a common friend but we were unable to locate them, or their new venue. So, their purchase was serendipitous and we are now connected for potential projects in the future!! Win Win for everyone!
