A sweet young lady asked us to refinish a bedroom suite for her. When we looked at it the question loomed, why? It was a mess. Our first response was, “Maybe she found it on the side of the road for free!”

I assured her we could make it better, but with some reservation.

Along the way to the finish we found out it had been her mother’s a long time ago. But when we delivered it, her mother was present and told us that it had been hers when she was a teenager.

In the end, I think the gray with lighter wood finishes really made it modern and it looked quite presentable. She was thrilled!
