Kitchen: From 1960’s Wood to Modern Gray

by | May 1, 2022

A relative to our of Larry’s cousins contacted us about painting her kitchen. When we went to look at it, we found a time capsule! It was a home built in the 1960’s with an all wood interior. Paneling, birch cabinets and all, needed updating.

We arranged to take all the doors to our shop for the paint. The customer also wanted us to build her a new pantry door, a new cabinet to house her microwave oven where there used to be a dishwasher, and do some extra painting around the kitchen.

The cabinets appeared to be built on site, as each door was a different size and it was clear that someone had custom made each one.

The customer wanted to paint the insides of the cabinets before we installed the new doors. She did a fabulous job with a very challenging and difficult task. All fresh white, they now are super clean and ready for a new life.

She picked out a medium gray for the cabinets. She wanted the trip around the kitchen to be white and the new pantry door to be black with a frosted glass.

A wonderful update!
