While on a little get away trip, we came across an Estate Sale. Inside a country barn were numerous things from a relative’s life. Among them was this desk. It was in beautiful condition with clean drawers that worked well. The price, well the price was super cheap and they were selling at 50% off that day. We couldn’t refuse bringing it home.

Currently, there is a surge of refinished furniture where the body is painted and the nice wood fronts and top are stained. I’ve seen many that have added the “all the rage” brushed brass hardware. So, that’s exactly what I decided to do with this desk. I think it turned out beautifully, and the look is definitely updated for the modern taste.
